Modern painterly portrait of a young woman with her face tilted slightly upward, one eye and half of her forehead hidden behind a large white hibiscus-like flower, the other eye looking calmly out at the viewer. Her hair is dark brown and loosely parted, with fine strands falling across her temple and cheek. Her skin is warm peach with soft rosy blush, delicate freckles, and a natural dewy glow. A crisp diagonal shadow from the flower falls across her nose and the left side of her face, giving the portrait a sunlit, sculptural quality. Her lips are full, coral-pink, glossy, and softly parted. Large white and cream blooms with coral-orange and golden stamens cluster around her, one at the top of her head, one covering her eye, and two at the lower right and left, overlapping her chin and neck. The petals are built from bold, loose, visible brushstrokes in ivory, warm gray, and pale peach. The background is a flat, saturated cobalt blue that makes the whites and skin tones glow. Fresh, sensual, elegant, and contemporary, like a fashion-magazine illustration.
