A quick snapshot taken on a quiet street corner, looks like someone called her name and she turned around mid-stride. A young Chinese woman in her early 20s stands beside a dark blue bicycle, her body half-turned, one hand resting on the bicycle seat, the other holding a yellow apple near her chin as if she was about to take a bite but paused. Her expression is caught mid-surprise, one eye slightly wider than the other, her mouth forming a half-smile that's not quite complete, a strand of hair caught on her lip gloss. She wears a soft cream linen shirt untucked, the fabric slightly twisted, high-waisted beige wide-leg trousers with a small dirt mark near the hem, brown leather sandals slightly scuffed, a thin gold chain necklace that's twisted at the clasp, and small gold hoop earrings. Her loose waves are messy, strands flying across her face and sticking to her cheek. The grocery basket is slightly disheveled—greens poking out, a carton with a torn label, a few apples rolling near the edge. The old cinema marquee has a few burnt-out bulbs, its red characters slightly faded. The photo is slightly underexposed on her face, a bit of motion blur on her hand holding the apple and a strand of hair crossing her eye, soft grain, a small light leak near the top left corner. A stray cat is mostly out of frame, only its tail naturally appearing near the bike's rear wheel. Dutch angle from the right, 9:16
